John and Nickie Coghlan managed the Attimore from 1997 to October 2000. With a string of successful management's of public houses behind them, John and Nickie quickly became liked and respected at the Attimore. Along with son Kevin who also worked behind the bar.
When they took over, many new entertainment features were added to the week. A quiz and several Karoke, disco and band appearances. John, a good singer, has been known to grab the mike a few times, sometimes singing with his son Kevin. Kevin won a Karoke competition at the Atti' and got to record four popular songs. See the Music page Kevin with Jo Banks also won the Reginal Allied Domecq pub quiz from 220 entrants.
Kevin and John are great football fans. On major games the TV was on and nail biting commenced. Fortunately, that night they won.
John and Nickie went on holiday one year to the Broads with some of the regulars. They took this maritime cruise very seriously and dressed accordingly.
We all wish them well in their new careers. Cheers Guys.
