Directions to the Attimore from the North and South. From the South: travel north on the A1(M) and exit at junction 4. Turn right on overhead roundabout and cross the A1(M). Turn left at next roundabout and travel north parallel with the A1(M). The road drops down to a small roundabout. Turn right at this roundabout and climb the hill past Stanborough lakes. Still climbing veer right at the next roundabout to the industrial area. Veer right over the next roundabout and over a railway bridge. Take the second exit at the next roundabout into Broadwater road. Pass by Roche buildings and turn right at a set of traffic lights into Bridge Road East. Go straight over the next mini-roundabout past B & Q on your left and go straight across the next roundabout past the Fire Station. Turn left at the next roundabout into Ridgeway and travel for about a quarter mile. The Attimore entrance is immediately after a large barn on the right. From the North: travel south on the A1(M) and exit at junction 6. The road drops to a roundabout where you turn left to the Town Center. Turn right at the next roundabout on the A1000. Pass by the next turning to the Town Center and pass under the viaduct. Pass over two more roundabouts and veer left at the next onto a one way system called the Mundells. Travel around this and take the third main exit onto Black Fan road. Pass over one small mini-roundabout and immiediately turn right at the next mini-roundabout into Ridgeway. Almost immediately on your left is the entrance to the Attimore. From Hitchin: You can't get to the Attimore from Hitchin. You will have to go somewhere else first. Try going to London, then use the above directions from the south.
